3 billion people
W.K. Kellogg’s values are foundational to the company Kellogg has become and how we serve society today
W.K. Kellogg was a 20th century Renaissance man. He set out to discover a healthier alternative to the heavy breakfasts people ate in the early 1900s and created a global cereal industry. He saw the value of plant-based foods and protecting our environment long before others and put a great deal of land into conservation for future generations. He was passionate about helping others and donated nearly all his personal wealth to create the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
Mr. Kellogg continues to inspire us today and his priorities are reflected in our K Values:
We act with integrity and show respect.
We are all accountable.
We are passionate about our business, our brands and our foods.
We have the humility and hunger to learn.
We strive for simplicity.
We love success.
Our founder’s values are front and center in our Kellogg’s® Better Days commitment to create Better Days for 3 billion people by the end of 2030. In addition to nourishing with our foods, feeding people in need and nurturing our planet, we intend to engage 1.5 billion people in a wide variety of ways. Through the activities of our company and brands, we’ll engage people in advocating on behalf of children facing hunger, ensuring an ethical supply chain and supporting diversity and inclusion. We’ll support the passion our employees have for volunteering in their communities, and we’ll continue providing wellbeing education so people can make informed food choices.
